ANIMAL RIGHTS IN ROMANIA
The idea of "animal rights" is that the basic interests of animals should be afforded the same consideration as the similar interests of humans. Animals should be viewed as legal persons and members of the community-not property, and that they should not be used as food, clothing, research subjects or entertainment. Animal law is taught in 112 law schools in the USA and in 8 schools in Canada. In Romania has been voted an animal protection law referring only about wild animals and animals with owners,it doesn't include the stray ones. Despite this, there are many animal foundations who are trying to do the best for the stray dogs found on the streets. White Fang Foundation is one of them created thanks to the initiative and efforts of some people who love animals. What is interesting about this foundation is the fact that you can adopt a specific dog from the shelter but you don't have to take the dog home because the foundation will take care of him with your financial support. You will receive pictures with the dog and information's about his life and health. Animals have no voice to educate the community about the laws that have been enacted to protect them. You can be the voice for them!
