After she won a Leo Award in 2004 for The Best Supporting Performance by a Female for "The Collector" TV show, Carly guest starred in "Tru Calling" in the first episode of season 2. The episode is called "The Perfect Storm" and she playes the character Kate Wilson. When a young Harbor Patrol officer dies in a white squall while rescuing some students and asks for help, Tru has to compete against Jack to save her life.

Publicata in 1929, cartea lui Gallegos a fost reeditata de mai bine de 40 de ori, tradusa in mai multe limbi, iar in 1943 a fost adusa pe marele ecran in interpretarea unei celebre actrite a Americii Latine, Maria Felix. Pentru aceasta telenovela, Edith Gonzalez a avut nevoie de antrenamente speciale, actrita reusind in scurt timp sa invete sa calareasca, sa traga cu arma si sa manuiasca lasoul. "Dona Barbara este cel mai dur personaj pe care l-am jucat vreodata," marturiseste Edith. "Este foarte solicitant atat din punct de vedere emotional cat si fizic. Sunt foarte recunoscatoare ca am avut ocazia sa fiu Dona Barbara, pentru ca este un personaj care te marcheaza." La filmari, Edith a avut nevoie de dublura pentru scenele de nuditate, dar nu si pentru cascadoriile periculoase, pe care le-a executat ea insasi. Nu a scapat insa usor: a cazut de mai multe ori de pe cal, si-a luxat mana, a suferit sute de intepaturi de insecte, dar toate sacrificiile au meritat: in 2008, Edith a fost aleasa actrita anului de catre revista People. The streets are tree-lined and mostly quiet.The breezes that blow in off the Atlantic Ocean-heavenly.Point Pleasant indeed..!The one-hour drama centers on pretty blond Christina Nixon,who turns up on the beach in Point Pleasant one day and soon begins raising hell.Wherever she goes storm clouds gather,candles blow out,cars explode in flames.The reason soon becomes clear:she's the Devil's daughter.In the pilot,Christina falls off a cruise ship and floats into shore where she's rescued by a lifeguard and taken in by a local family.Then,her wicked ways begin to manifest themselves.The executive-producer says:"We're operating on the principle that if the Devil was somebody,it would be somebody really attractive.Nobody is going to be taken in if he has a long,red,pointy tail...He will look attractive,and he will be nice and helpful." While sinister forces in New York debate Christina's future and the unfolding of her dark powers,she discovers that her mother actually came from Point Pleasant and was a good,saintly woman.So,the series rests on whether Christina takes after Dad or Mom,and the fate of the world may depend on her decision.The producer of the show had this idea:what if there was an equally good side to the character? "The relationships that she forges are volatile because they're emotional,but they're also the things that might save her.The family she lives with and the people she cares about become her support system." In the end,it was the continual betrayal of people Christina cared about that brought out the darkness in her.
Prior to playing Christina Nixon in the short TV series "Point Pleasant" in 2005, Elisabeth was working in a lowly job at the Sundance Channel. "I was a PA. I was digitizing interview tapes like this one. Ultimately, my reasons for wanting to be involved on the production side and starting at the bottom was that it was a step forward to doing my own independent projects." But when "Point Pleasant" came colling, she was eager to jump back into acting "Somewhere along the way, I realized how much I was missing from this creative side, so now I know I can still get to that goal of producing my own films and such, but I can also do this as well." About her character, Christina Nixon, she sais:"Christina may seem weird, but she's actually like a lot of teenagers. She's constantly asking 'Will I be a good person or a bad person?' and 'How can I resist temptation?" Furthermore, Elisabeth also said she was making shore she was portraying this character in this world as accessible, human and as real as possible. "The thing about this show is that it's a supernatural drama, but it's very much grounded in the reality of normal human struggles. I'm portraying the character, it's been mostly about playing it as real as possible. Now, of course, when I'm staring at someone with the evil eye, that's fun because you don't get to do that in normal life very often. You definitely feel that way sometimes so it's definitely fun to be able to manifest those emotions for no reason. But for me it was most important to portray this character grounded in reality, in the normal sort of teen struggles." It's only fitting that the actress who plays the Devil's daughter on Point Pleasant would love horror movies. "I am so masochistic-I love to be scared, and I think The Exorcist is one of the scariest movies ever made. I can watch it over and over, and I'm still frightened by it."
